changing the downtown area of Johannesburg is complicated -

all of those questions and more come up for me - I spend time in Maboneng and Braamfontein.
really, is it possible to "revitalize" downtown ( or should that be 'make downtown comfortable for middle class people') without making life even more miserable for the people living there now without money/privilege.
