day by day
Feb. 27th, 2012 06:32 pmPeople wonder how I fill my days, but it seems easy in Australia. I shop for our dinner most days and go to a variety of places. In a new city it takes awhile for me to find the places I like. Now that the Perth library is open, I stop in there most days. I'll also probably start going to the Subiaco library. I work on my Mandarin. I read - just finished Sea of Poppies which I liked. Now I'm starting High Fidelity. I can borrow two items from the library at a time, so I usually get a DVD and a book. Yesterday I watched Mao's Last Dancer, today I borrowed Romper Stomper. Mostly I slow down and take my time - stop in galleries - today I visited Kerb Gallery. On Weds I have an art class in Fremantle.
I'm also still working on the paperwork for perm residency, we are about 3/4 of the way through the paperwork.
And for March that will all change - my parents are coming to Australia and we will be going to Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Hobart and then over to NZ for Wellington. So exciting!
Then back to Perth and probably looking to rent our own place - right now we are in corp housing.
